I’m not sure how to explain Piero Scaruffi’s Web site. I guess it’s just an incredibly detailed database of all things cultural. He has all kinds of best-of lists, including things like the best keyboardists of all-time and the best string/wind players. He reviews albums, books, films and he does it in SEVEN languages. It’s an incredible example of rigor and outright obsessiveness.
